LabMicrobe for counting of bacteria

LabMicrobe was designed for automatic counting of bacteria in fluorescently stained samples.

LabMicrobe front panel

LabMicrobe is a specialized image analysis environment designed to fully automate the processing of images of microbes or cells. LabMicrobe has been optimized for efficient and consistent analysis of fluorescently stained microscope images. LabMicrobe is used for routine bacterial analysis in research and environmental monitoring.

LabMicrobe is tuned to analyze epi-fluorescent images of bacteria, but its open architecture allows easy adaptation to other similar applications.

LabMicrobe has interactive facilities for viewing the results of the different stages of image processing, for setting parameters, and for training the internal neural network classifier. Classification of shapes is based on contour.

LabMicrobe can automatically handle a large number of images, and save the results on the computer. The programs work on 8 or 16 bit grey-scale images.
