Description
We offer high qualtity industral cameras, from one of the leading manufacturers of industrial cameras, The Imaging Source, Germany (www.theimagingsource.com) at a very reasonable price. The cameras are suitabel for 2D or 3D camera systems. We have tested the cameras and found that they well suited for tracking analysis.
Which camera?
The lower resolution cameras are suitable for:
- high frames rates
- precision in object sizing is not so important
- high light sensitivity
The higher resolution cameras are suitable for:
- larger field of view or more precision in object sizing during tracking
- lower frames rates or the requirement of relatively more computing power.
Note that the sensor size is the same for both resolutions so the lower resolution sensor is considerably more light sensitive. All cameras are sensitive to infrared.
Ethernet or USB3 connection
Select the type of bus (USB or Ethernet) that is best suited. Ethernet is best for networking more than two cameras, for cases when you need to crimp your own cables, for wireless transmission, and for cases where long cable lengths (up to 100m) are required. USB3 cameras can be connected directly to a computer via a USB3 cable which transfers data at a rate of up to 400 MByte/s, and at the same time provides power for the camera.
