Description

We offer clear acrylic open top measuring chambers for planktonic organisms. These chambers are suitable for testing the behaviour of zooplankton organisms such as Artemia, Daphnia, Copepodes, fish fry. The measuring chambers can be used with the Macro 3D triangle, where 2 cameras can be mounted perpendicular (at 90° angle) to the measuring chamber. The setup is ideal for observing swimming speed, response to stimuli, chemotaxis, phototaxis, predation avoidance, predatory behaviour ect.

Chamber and organisms sizes

The chambers are available in three sizes: small (53ml), medium (66 ml), large (95ml). The size of the chamber should be chosen based on the organisms’ size and swimming speed. The small chamber is suitable for organisms >50µm, the medium chamber for organisms >70µm, the large chamber for organisms >100µm.

Use the measuring chambers with our 3D setup system (Macro 3D triangle, or the 3D mounting rail), cameras and LabTrack for analyzing zooplankton behaviour.
